Mary Marasovich

I earned my master's degree in speech in 1976 while being a full time wife and mother of 3 little ones. This was an education in itself! The youngest, Jill, frequently attended classes with me as a toddler and guess what she is now? (Yup, and SLP!) I've been so lucky to gain experience in a variety of settings. I started in a public school special education center, learning to treat speech kiddos with many rare congenital syndromes. The journey took me to regular public schools, acute care in hospitals, a rehabilitation center,  adult home health, a skilled nursing facility, managing a private clinic, and finally to my own private practice. If you did the math, you know that I have been an SLP for many years. Knowing that, you can also guess that I must really really love what I do! And you would be right. A favorite aspect of this work is that I supervise Clinical Fellows (Master's students who are earning their license). It feels good to contribute to our field in this way, but honestly, the best part is how much I learn from these gifted students.
